Adrian Legg

East London-born Adrian Legg first learned to play the oboe as a youngster and then made a fateful switch to guitar during adolescence. Since then, he has established his reputation as a unique and highly technical fingerstyle guitarist with shades of classical, jazz, folk, country, and rock coloring his work. Though he has released several of his own studio albums since the late '70s -- many of which have topped year-end reader's polls for Guitarist and Guitar Player magazines -- he has thrived as a live performer, whether appearing solo or with a spectrum of artists that has ranged from Nanci Griffith to Joe Satriani. Legg has also been responsible for a number of instructional videos and books, and he has been a regular presence on National Public Radio's All Things Considered program. Guitar Bones, his first album for Steve Vai's Favored Nations Acoustic label, was released in early 2003. ~ Andy Kellman, Rovi

Saw him originally at the Soiled Dove Underground in Denver. Amazing skills. Great entertainmen t and I especially enjoy his dry British humor. You will buy his CD's once you see him live.

Why is there only ONE album here?! The man has over a DOZEN CDs. Come on, Pandora, let's go!
Seen him many times at Tin Angel in Phila, still amazes me!
I 1st saw Adrian Legg at The Club Longerie on Sunset Bl. in Hollywierd in 1992, promoting "Guitar for Mortals".It was just him, his guitar and @ 30 new diehard fans. Thanks to Doug Johnson and his brilliant radio show "D-Tuning" on KPCC, we were introduced to many guitar geniuses: Al Petteway, Muriel Anderson, Laurence Juber, Preston Reed, etc, etc. Check out AccousticMus i c R e s o u r c e . c o m for much more amazing music!
I saw Adrian at an AMP concert in Albuquerque last year. I was absolutely amazed at his proficiency. The purity and clarity of his notes were amazing. What a marvelous experience it was to see and hear such a musician.
I first experienced Adrian as the opening act for Eric Johnson back in the early 1990's in Florida. Blew me away! Such amazing tone & style. The fastest fingerstyle I've ever seen - slow & soothing when he wants to be - always flawless. Saw him again perform live at The Evening Muse in NC several years later. His "banjo trick" to make his guitar sound like a banjo by using 2 capo's (one cut so it only covers 3 strings) was a real highlight for me.
