The opening to this song has been used as an intro for Phoenix Suns and Chicago Bulls games. This intro is only heard in the long version, though, not on this one.
Some of the songs off of the Poe album are still brilliant. The orchestral pieces are quite reminiscent of The Moody Blues, in my opinion, and otherwise is a wonderful example of Prog at it's finest (or worst, depending on your opinion of Prog Rock.)
Sometimes the most talented bands put out some of the least enjoyable music. APP always managed to make listener friendly music that was superbly put together (except for that indulgent Edgar Alan Poe thing). I guess you learn a thing or two producing The Dark Side of the Moon.
how nice is it when this song comes at the grocery or similar locals?... even better when there are no price checks to ruin its integrity... i think this is one of life's simple pleasures many are advised to enjoy to the fullest and think of when other situations are trying their hardest to bring us down.
there is just something perfect about this song that I can't describe. Something perfectly symmetrical. Whether I'm listening to my vinyl copy at home on my headphones, or I'm at the grocery store picking out tub cleaner.
