It is taking longer than expected to fetch the next song to play.
The music should be playing soon.

As good as APP sounded back in the day, this music resonates even more now! Am I wrong in stating that the music felt more artful back then? Are there any current artists out there producing this caliber of art?
I grew up listening to this music on my father's reel to reel tape recorder as I would lay on the floor with the home speakers on either side of my head. Love this group!
I just saw the project perform here with orchestra. What a wonderful experience. They sound and look better then ever. Alan parsons himself is a lot more active then I have seen him in years. He did a lot of singing himself and he is a lot more personal then in past performances. It was absolutely great!!! As some of us are getting older - i realize that we will be seeing these kinds of folks less and less as time moves on. So, I was very happy to see them again.
Pandora cannot play (unfortunately) all the music available from the artists because of all the legal and financial transactions they need to complete before being allowed to play it. It is up to us, the fans, to go out there and explore the work from our favorite artists. Thanks to Pandora, I rediscovered music from a long time ago and I'm so grateful for it! And yes, they *should* have more music, I hope they do too.
I want to know why Pandora doesn't have the more recent albums available. They mention some at the end of the bio so why don't they have them on here? Just recenlty got On Air and it is excellent!
thirty almost forty years fast foward and I still completey love this music, somehow the beat and the melodies are like my old friends that I never get tired of when they show up un-invited!!these dudes where way ahead of the pack(southern rock IE the eighties)
OMG What do I have to do to get a job writing for this station. This is the best you can do for one of the most under appreciated geniuses in our time when it comes the contrabutions in Modern Recordidng. Please do a better job or Ill just stop using this station.

Without Tales of Mystery and Imagination I might have never developed an interest in music. We went through this album in school (7th grade I think). It opened the door to a totally new universe for me.

I currently have all their work on MP3 & CD, but my first was Tales of Mystery on 8-track. I also have LPs for most.... they had great cover art. Still have high hopes they will bring out more music. The nice part about a Project group is their fate does not have to be tied to a single star.

If I had time to---I wouldn't want to talk to you.
A lot has been mentioned about the APP and all of it's influences. Two albums of note- Keats, done with Alan Parsons and Eric Wolfson producing and the Chris DeBurgh album Crusader, which has the APP band supporting him on most of the tracks.

Also forgot Try Anything Once, which I believe was the last album for which Eric Wolffson wrote the music.

You forgot to add the soundtrack to the movie Ladyhawke, of which, I've worn out 2 tapes and 3 CDs!!!

I'm pretty sure that I have all of Alan Parson's works. He is a genius. Has anyone seen the youtube video of James Durbin with Alan Parson's? Brilliant!
I first heard Alan Parsons in 1980, standing in a music store. The front desk put on his new release, Turn of a Freindly Card. I just stood there through the whole album, blown away! So crisp, clean and creative. I walked up to the check out and asked for a copy of the album that was just played. Been a fan ever since.
here are my favorite best of progressive - ELP (first 6 albums), Yes, Genesis, Renassaince, Triumvirat, King Crimson, Alan Parson I Robot, Gentle Giant - nothing like this today - they live on!
I had a rather odd introduction to The Alan Parsons Project. In the summer of 1985, I was studying in London and took two weeks off to tour Scotland in a rental car with three friends. NONE of us brought any music to listen to. the previous renter of our car had left behind Tales of Mystery and Imagination, so we listened to that for two weeks as we drive through the Scotish countryside. Every time I hear that album I'm taken back to that trip!
Probably my all-time favorite artist. There isn't an album I don't recommend.

"Pyramid" really caught my listening ear back in 1978. Very nice production and key players made for some nice memorable tunes.

Recently bought on Amazon the complete set of remastered CD's with extras...awesome. And BTW, just heard the most significant negative aspect of Pandora. When one tune blends into the next, they cut it off rather than letting it play! Cutting off Sirius just as Eye in the Sky was starting... near sacrilege! They need some option that allows that feature.

BTW - After reading ptinkstain's poorly written post, I doubt he will get a job writing for Pandora.
