Argyle Park

According to the legend of their press release, Argyle Park's frontman Buka was raised around the world by missionary parents; when he was 12 years old and on a trip to Africa, he became lost and spent a night with a tribe of natives. That experience began a lifelong love of worldbeat percussion and rhythms (his name comes from what the tribe called him). He returned to the United States to go to a New York college, where he met his two future music partners. Deathwish and Dred grew up in tough neighborhoods of New York City, listening to hardcore punk and techno. The three members of Argyle Park united their influences into a rich palate of sounds, including hard rock, punk and worldbeat. One album has been released. ~ John Bush, Rovi

As with DharmaLogos, I too am surprised to hear AP on Pandora! This is a band extremely hard to find on most "internet radio." Way to go, Pandora!
I'm really surprised to find Argyle Park on Pandora. I love pretty much everything I have ever heard from Scott Albert/Celld w e l l e r , but this is the single greatest album I have ever heard from the subgenre.
The above band description was debunked by Buka himself a long time ago. Dred & Deathwish are both pseudonyms for Klay (Klayton, Scott Albert, Celldweller) . The number of contributing artists on this album is amazing and includes Tommy Victor from Prong, Mark Soloman from Stavesacre, Darren Dialosa from Klank, members of Mortal and more! AP2 went a bit of a different direction & was joined by Level (now lvl or Dan Leveler/Dan Albert, rumored to be Klayton's brother) but was amazing as well.
Wow...Buka was raised by missionary parents? Tribal name? Klayton grew up in tough neighborhood s of NYC? Why is this the first time I've heard this story about Argyle Park. Should be on the wikipedia page...
I am always amazed when I hear argyle park on Pandora
They had a 2nd album?! I'll have to check it out. I still love their first album.
