Avalon

The CCM vocal quartet Avalon includes Jody McBrayer, Nikki Hassman, Janna Potter and Michael Passons. After debuting with a self-titled album in 1996, the group toured with Michael W. Smith, Twila Paris and Steven Curtis Chapman. The singles "Give It Up," "This Love" and "Picture Perfect World" all did well on the inspirational/adult contemporary charts, sparking the group's second album, 1997's A Maze of Grace. Hassman left the group and was replaced by Cherie Paliotta before Avalon returned to the studio to record the 1999 album In a Different Light. A combination of traditional and new holiday songs, Avalon's Christmas album Joy followed one year later. In 2002, Cherie Paliotta was replaced by Melissa Greene for the recording of new songs for their 2003 Very Best of Avalon release. ~ John Bush, Rovi

They are soulful and awesome. I'm very pleasantly surprised because I am always looking to hear some different genres of Christian music.
To pmlmrs - if you are looking for good P&W music you should check out CDs from Robin Mark and Graham Kendrick. Both of them have great messages in their songs. The P&W market is filled with many good artists but those 2 are my personal favorites. "Is anyone thirsty?" still moves me to tears when I sing it at worship.

I`m new to this station. I first heard of avalon when I was just 16 and liked there music since then. You could tell their there belief in christ was strong and hope they continue on in there walk with Jesus Christ

Avalon is a group of young adults who have a very close walk with God. Their music is very close to the heart of God.
To attend one of their concerts is to leave truly blessed and inspired to draw closer to the Lord.
