Bad Manners

Bad Manners, composed of vocalist Buster Bloodvessel (born Douglas Trendle), Louis Cook (guitar), David Farren (bass), Martin Stewart (keyboards), Brian Tuitti (drums), Gus Herman (trumpet), Chris Kane (saxophone), and Andrew Marson (saxophone), were one of the many bands to take their inspiration from the Specials and the ska revival movement in England in the late '70s. They quickly became the novelty favorites of the fad through their bald, enormous-bodied frontman's silly on-stage antics, earning early exposure through 2-Tone Records package tours and an appearance in the live documentary Dance Craze. In the early '80s, they managed several U.K. hits including "Ne-Ne Na-Na Na-Na Nu-Nu," "Lip Up Fatty," "Special Brew," and "Can Can." By the mid-'80s, the ska craze was over and the band retired temporarily after the release of 1985's Mental Notes, only to return in 1989 with Return of the Ugly, remaining a live attraction despite a lack of concurrent hits. By the mid-'90s, a third wave ska revival renewed interest in the band. Eat the Beat was released in 1996 and Uneasy Listening followed in 1997, as well as several collections from the band's peak years. ~ Chris Woodstra, Rovi

Fatties rule.
How the fck did ska die in the 80's. How can such good mood music just up and die?
+1 on Return of the Ugly...great shows too...
It's sad that alot of their stuff is getting hard if not impossible to find. Return of the Ugly is a great album.
yeaaaaaa bad manners - lorraine and don't knock the bald head are by far my fav songs. I'd love to see them live but I think they only play in UK/euro these days.. who says bad manners are ska core?

In the mosh pit? Not a skank pit? I think you may be mistaken, but you should not have been moshing, heh.
Bad Manners aren't exactly ska-core...

Wooly Bully just came on.....I got kicked out of a show circa 1991 in San Luis Obispo because I was too rowdy in the mosh pit when this song came on. Brings back fond memories of drinking and skanking to Bad Manners and other Ska Core bands. YEAH!!!!

'Inner London Violence' now that's 80's ska!!!!
it sucks they got black flagged from las vegas, i got to see their last vegas show, they went a half an hour over their time by playing an encore that lasted 5 songs that ran as one long song, lol!
it was awesome, i can only hope they play near vegas someday soon, i'd love to see them again.

I saw them in at a club in Minneapolis about 25 years ago. One of my favorite concerts ever! They are certifiably insane, but with a very tight sound and great showmanship.

Bad Manners is awesome. First incarnation is the best, but current band ain't half bad. Here Comes the Major, Lorraine, Suicide, King Ska Fa. Too many good tunes to list.
if you want to know more about ska not only in English and from here but also for other part of the world for example (Mexico, Argentina, England, Latin-Americ a n , Spain) you can check out my profile and my stations, and also if you want there are some web site that will be really interested for people that loves ska www.2toneroo m.org/radio and www.io
Bad Manners is awesome. They may take some getting use to, as they combine ska with a very r&b, somewhat cheesy british pub sound. But they have been rockin' for over twenty years and know their chops. I just saw them again just a week ago, with The English Beat. They actually preceded Two Tone. Buster has a very interesting history, having started a hotel for fat people and run for Mayor of London.
