With their band on hiatus and singer Emily Haines pursuing solo work, bassist Josh Winstead and drummer Joules Scott-Key of Toronto indie dance-rock act Metric became restless enough to start their own project. Coming up with a name derived from the duo's noisy jam sessions, Bang Lime represents a sound decidedly heavier than Metric and features Winstead taking on vocal and guitar duties. A debut album was due from Last Gang records in mid-2007, while Metric had plans to reassemble in Toronto to begin writing new material. ~ Kenyon Hopkin, Rovi
I don't think I care for these woman singers going on "hiatus" to try solo projects. Yes, your voice is good, and yes you do have a bit of cute charisma, but its the dichotomy between the rock(awesome guitar, drums, and bass) and the beauty (sweet and melodic voice) that makes the band so good. Please come back to your bands and start making more music...
