Dubbing himself "hip-hop's b**tard" and "punk rock's fat brother," rapper Big B is a member of the rap-rock group OPM plus a solo artist with numerous releases on the Kottonmouth Kings' label, Suburban Noize. When it comes to the Kings' appreciation of OPM, B was the metaphorical gateway drug after running into the stoner-rap crew at a motocross event. With OPM signed to the major label Atlantic, the Kings offered Big B a solo recording contract and kicked their relationship off with the 2004 release High Class White Trash. OPM's contract with Atlantic ended that same year, so the band also made the shift to Suburban Noize beginning with its 2004 album, Forthemasses. A year later, B returned to his solo career with White Trash Renegade, which was followed by the odds-and-ends collection Random Stuff in 2006. That same year, he appeared in the A&E cable television network's Inked, a reality series focused on the Hart & Huntington Tattoo Company where Big B worked alongside motocross star Carey Hart. Playing upon his 300-lb. weight, the album More to Hate arrived in 2007 with guest appearances from Tech N9ne plus Sen Dog. American Underdog landed in 2009 with a more earthy and bluesy feel that drew comparisons to the work of Everlast. ~ David Jeffries, Rovi
