I didn't appreciate this song until my taste changed. I know I'm not the same person, with all the injuries I've had and so forth. i still think I can make some of my dreams come true fi things go my way! I just have to ask the one and only to go ahead of me, and give me direction as I go! Boom their you go it works! That's how I get to believe and trust life before life and after life there is life!

A true legend of "Beach Music". So underplayed on oldies stations. Billy and his orchestra/band was simply and still is the best! It's really hard for me to drive I-95 north near Fayetville, NC where he lost his life so many years ago.
Love this song. Heatwave did not mess the song up with their version. I thought Heatwave was the original artists, boy was I surprised when I heard this. Billy Stewart delivers some amazing vocals and adds a texture of longing by his inflection. The uncredited vocalists backing this song have excellent harmony. The instruments backing his voice don't overwhelm but add this exquisite texture by emphasizing certain phrases with a few sparse notes from the piano...a lovely song.
