@Killian, the intro is a bass solo by Geezer, titled Bassically. Its on the original 1st album, along w/ NIB & the 2 songs that are tied to it, i.e. The Wasp, & Sleeping Village. In some collections, Bassically is included w/ NIB. In different pressings of the original record/CD, The Wasp/Sleeping Village/Bassically/NIB are cut up instead of being one long track. As a bass player, Bassically ranks up there, for me, as any other bass solo i.e Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth) etc.
Good point Willy...I actually think there is no Judas Priest without Sabbath and no Iron Maiden without Judas Priest and no Metallica without Iron Maiden! It goes on and on!!
The dude who said the title refers to Bill Ward's beard being like a pen nib is correct. NIB - nib, that was the nickname Geezer said he made up for Ward.
this song is ok. i jam it alone. and Bill Clinton is 100% telling the truth, Sympathy for the Devil OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWNS this song, it pays it no wages as it rapes its women, the opening line alone proves this, ahem, "Please allow me to introduce myself, im a man of wealth and taste, ive been around for a long long year, stole many a man soul and faith." GET ON THAT BOAT!
Intro IS Hendrix-esque, but I think the main riff is similar to "Sunshine of Your Love," without a few notes...which was interestingly a song that Cream wrote specifically FOR Hendrix.

That's the story on the song. Basically it's intentionall y enigmatic what they wanted the initials to mean, if anything.
