My favorite song of all time! Thank you Mr. Dylan!

It's hard to say what Dylan's best song was (or album for that matter) but this is pretty darn good.

who else but dylan could have created this song? we forget that dylan is a real professional musician. he's not just some magician who happens to write incredible songs. he's also a craftsman. there's nothing accidental about this song. he knows exactly what he's doing. before you can be a genius you have to master your craft, you have to do the work. malcom gladwell says to master any craft you have to spend 10000 hours at it. that's what bill gates did: he put in the time. and he was brilliant

i actually don't have much more to say about dylan. you should know what i think by now. but this is just one of his essential songs. i just can't resist saying something about dylan everytime i hear one of his masterpieces . we have to constantly remind ourselves of his greatness. he's not BOB DYLAN for nothing.

you could make a movie based on this song

something about the guitar reminds me of the intro lick to In the Ghetto. I guess he's talking more about the avenue. Elvis sang about a young poor boy's blues. Bob is about an older boy's adventures and giving chase to that maybe first love he knew.

Mr. Zimmerman , you rule!!!!!!

Hands down this is my favorite Dylan song. Love the images he creates and how his acoustic work drives the thing leaving you begging for more. No one writes like this anymore. Great stuff. Peace.

He is so unique!!! love this.

Has to be THE BEST!!!!!!!! ! !

This is a really fine song. I usually don't care much for covers of tunes, but the Jerry Garcia Band performed a very nice version of this - Jerry-ized of course. Same with Simple Twist of Fate. Check it out OneAdam12.

For years Dylan was that "folk guy" and I didn't pay much attention (I'm a metal head). Then, by chance, I heard Tangled Up In Blue. WOW! For some reason this song just hit me, don't know why, don't care! Thx Bob. You, Neil Young, CSN&Y and others have really opened up my eyes to a whole new music genre.

One thing to remember, Bob would change the lyrics occasionally when he recorded. The beauty of this song is that it's not meant to be linear. Point in fact when he arranged this piece, he wanted to have the the flow move like memories. Sometimes sequential, other times glimpses of different points in time. This was in my opinion one of his greatest works.

You simply cannot write a better song than "Tangled Up In Blue".

Except for maybe "Simple Twist of Fate".

Actually Sharon, "Tangled Up in Blue" isn't about the blues. It's a tribute to Joni Mitchell's album "Blue," which set the gold standard for introspectiv e female singer/songw r i t e r s . It's a classic.

When I first heard this song, I knew that my "view" of good music had changed forever. With his haunted voice and straight on perspectives of the world he lived in, he was w/o doubt, an icon that we would be hearing from for a long time. Bob Dylan, you had it right all along--we'll always be "tangled up in blues...."
