I love the Sam Bush version seen him open with it 4times. But this is why Sam did it. How can you pick a favorite Dylan song? Or any song? Beautiful duet!!
Check out this version. Sam Bush/Jerry Douglas live at Telluride. Astonishing!
out of key but sort of cool, whacked out for sure

It turns my inside and that feeling I could never hide
Gives me goose bumps.
Can't beat the real stuff.
No question this a masterpiece. Magic. Sounz like my idea of heaven.
Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan are both failed singers by today's standards, and could never have made it in the churning music machine of instant television. So thankful we have these recordings, so we can celebrate the genius of feeling differences and emotion.

Great folk love song.
If you're not less than perfect each time out it means you're not growing.
This makes me think of my beautiful daughter Meghan K. Heater enough said I Love You Baby
BEAUTIFUL.
Shocked to see the negative comments. Although I'm not the biggest Dylan fan, when he goes to his singing voice rather than what he is primarily known far, I think it soudns great....not too bad having Johnny Cash do back up vocals either....

You people really need to get a life
they sound as perfect as can be to me
What is Bob doing with his voice in this one? Definitely doesn't meld with Johnny's. lol. Stupendous pairing in theory, but weird as hell.
Fabulous
Far from the best version of a wonderful song. The duet doesn't work for me. Jeff Talmadge has a good cover of this.
Awesome duet.

Sounds like Johnny Cash..
Great

Never knew these two dueted together. Took me aback at first, I'm like That's not Dylan!
mbowley75
It's far from a masterpiece (not unlike many of the other tracks that these two collaborated on that surfaced after the fact) in this form, but it's still interesting.

As for Bob Dylan's vocal here I believe he had quit smoking prior to this album & also tried to ape some of his heroes such as Woody Guthrie some. I like his voice in this incarnation but not compared to his 1961-68 voice or the one he carried through most of the 1970s.
I call this Dylan vocal his Kermit the Dylan style
sean_mcclain
It's a beautiful duet.
They have done a few duets together...I actually like how their voices contrast one another...
Have to agree with Daniel Baker - it is a mess. Two great singers and a great song, but it doesn't work. The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan version is better.
Had a true love from the north country; this brings tears
real singing not simulated
I never knew these two did a duet. Beautiful. Bravo Pandora

This song is a mess.
johnny and bob ????????? too freakin awesome !!!!!!! luv it
yes and its so cool
that's johnny cash on backing vocals
Yeah, but he sounds even weirder in this one. But anyway- is that Johnny Cash? Two of the greatest musicians of all time at once? Great, even though this is one of Bob's worst songs.
malten7
he sings weird in every song, greattt song
forest_roy
Bob sings weird in this song.
I'd like the dates when these various albums were first recorded.
I agree - this is one of my favorite's of Dylan...and you can't get much better than Dylan and Cash together.
I didn't believe it was possible to love a song this much.
sounds like johnny cash to me, not bob dylan.
