White Room (Live 2005)

Lyrics

In the white room with black curtains near the station
Blackroof country, no gold pavements, tired starlings
Silver horses ran down moonbeams in your dark eyes
Dawnlight smiles on you leaving, my contentment

I've always loved this song, but what are the lyrics about? Anybody?

Thanks, dbpeck3, I hadn't even looked at the "similar songs". Other than the magnificent Coltrane, "who are those people?"
Vocals sound great (sound like a live show duh!)Rock on old men!

hilarious the "similar songs" to white room... other than coltrane others are posers. If you can remember th '60's, you weren't there.

Agreed with vikingpoet.. . Jack Bruce's voice is shot, not surprising for a 60+ year old who has been performing for 40+ years. The years have been a little kinder to Eric Clapton's voice. This alternating of vocals is the same as on the 1968 version of the song.

Also agreed with Muttugly. Cream in its heyday was awesome. Highly experimental , as the Beatles were then.
i think they share the vocals eric and jack
sounds fresh and vibrant mr poet

Awesome vocals
You had to have been living in the 60's to understand what Cream will always be to thoes, like me, who lived that time and place. Respect the ones that laid the road for you and thoes who will follow...... . . . . . . . .
An old & tired Jack Bruce sings that. Eric tries to salvage the chorus vocal.
who is singing on this one? Sometimes it sounds like Eric others not. Anyone know for sure?
WOW, Awsome.. live 2005
