Crosby & Nash

This subset of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young featured David Crosby (b.Aug 14, 1941) and Graham Nash (b.Feb 2, 1942) relying on their sweet harmonies and strong songwriting. The duo lasted from 1972 to the more-or-less permanent re-forming of Crosby, Stills & Nash in 1977. ~ William Ruhlmann

I prefer the studio version of Southbound Train from the debut Crosby & Nash album. Simply a chilling song. If you don't feel it you are dead. The live version on Another Stoney Evening is almost as good. When the performed it for Dylan he did them a solid by asking that they play it again.

Another Stoney Evening is a very good live album by Crosby & Nash. I can't say that any of the concert versions are more memorable than the studio versions but all are worth listening to. The banter which seemed so incredibly hip and insightful at the time seems awkward now. Maybe that is just me being an angry old man who can't roll a decent joint.

The Crosby/Nash projects were really pretty good. Those two guys sure did know how to harmonize together.
However, with regards to McCartney, other that his first solo album, everything he has done in the last 43 years sucks. He descended into namby-pamby land never to return. Too bad....

elcue...I agree up to the downing of McCartney. I saw Paul only two years ago in Atlanta and he sounded great. With all due respect. I love David's music and sorry to say I haven't heard him live.

Janas, I think you're dead wrong. They still sound great. Saw them together a year ago and both are still in fine voice, especially Crosby. Frankly, I was pleasantly surprised, asI'd feared their voices would be shot by now, like poor old McCartney. Amazing that Crosby is still alive, let alone still making such sweet sounds. He is a treasure.

They have not sung anything in tune since 1977... lets be real.

Crosby is recognized far less for his artistic achievements than for his larger-than- l i f e off-stage exploits, So says the reviewer.

Graham Nash and David Crosby are two of the greatest harmony singers of all time, right up there with John Sebastion, Art Garfunkel, Don & Phil, and anybody else you can name. Great tunes and guitar playing too.
