They opened for Galactic's tour last year (or maybe early this year?) and tore them up. Yes, Stanton is badass, but Galactic's show was weaksause. CCR's keyboardist shared the stage at the end of Galactic's set and is WAY better than their keys!

I agree with thechief4, just heard their jam after seeding with Sage Francis, Brother Ali, The Chicharones, and Serge Severe. They are dope.
I saw these cats at the Independent In San Francisco, they worked the crowd. Dope lyrics, dope delivery, and a dope band. High energy no doubt. The Bay Area is represented well here. Pick up their CD's

I picked up "Earthtones" in 2004 on a whim and it still gets heavy rotation in my cd\mp3 collection. I also love the collabos with Gift of Gab. Any friend of Blackalicious is a friend of mine.
Saw them at the Key Club on Sunset (Hollywood, CA), main stage, 2nd act opening for People Under The Stairs. They were more dynamic and textured than I could have ever imagined. Their live performance just topped it off in a way that leaves you wanting to see it again and again. Truly one of the most talented and exciting acts in an industry, nowadays, laden with more attitude than talent and originality. Definitely check these cats out if you get a chance.
