Every time I listen to this song, I always have a double take just because when the backup vocals sing You'll be loved, it sounds like they're singing my name instead.
I love how the guitar hangs in the background like how it does in black metal. I s**t you not, Xasthur does something similar with the guitars, the guitar in the per-chorus verse. You know, that just sorta haze guitar sound. In fact, it seems like this is one of their more bass driven songs. All in all, one of the best tracks on Plans.

One's a song about a drunk justifying his life by pretending his actions aren't the problem, the whorehouse ruined him, while the other's about a jerk justifying his actions by pretending they aren't the problem, the girl should know every heart gets broken once in a while...
well I think it's more like he loves her but he knows that they aren't right and so he doesn't feel any regret because he knows she'll be happier with someone else? that's just my opinion tho
ya know Lenny, there are only 12 notes...12 in the whole world and there are only so many different combinations that you can arrange those 12 notes into. Eventually it was bound to happen that 2 songs would happen to have very similar melodies....get over it.

this song just makes me want to cry...why do something you have to apologize about in the end? theres nothing behind what youve done but regret, someone who will never forgive you, and shame on your name. you can apologize but the apology will just mean nothing and you will still stay the same jerk in their mind...i guess the point is some boys never grow up. they once were the little bastards throwing dirt at you on the playground, now they have to do more than ruin a pretty dress.
