Until recently I didn't even know this was a cover. I looked up the original on youtube and took a listen, I couldn't believe it was the same song! I can't even remember who the original was, all I can say is it's not generally my type of music. Had Deepfield not covered it, I never would have heard it. They do a great job and I have to agree it does kick a**! I wasn't too impressed with the original, it's just more hip hop mumbo jumbo to me.
Seems like a lot of covers are better than the original, when done by modern rock bands. I think it's the edgier sound that makes the difference; Disturbed's covers benefit from the more aggressive style tremendously .
Great cover. Better than the original. I did like the origianl but this kicks it's butt big time.
