One of the most popular Christian rock groups in Britain, Delirious? was formed in early 1996 as the worship band at a monthly outreach sponsored by Arun Community Church of Littlehampton, West Sussex. After the issue of two independent worship releases, the group began gigging around the area as well and formed their own Furious? label. Furious? released an EP, a live album, and then the band's 1997 studio debut King of Fools.
Delirious? received a pleasant shock later that year when the single "Deeper" hit the British Top 20, completely unheard of for an openly religious group. The band signed a contract with EMI, and in 1998 released The Cutting Edge, a double-disc compilation of their early worship recordings. Sparrow/Chordant signed the band for American distribution, and released King of Fools again in May 1998. Mezzamorphis, their Virgin label debut, followed in mid-1999. Glo, released on Sparrow Records was issued in fall 2000. Another two CD set of worship songs, Deeper: The D:Finitive Worship Experience, arrived in 2001, followed the next year by yet another double disc, Touch. ~ John Bush, Rovi
Ummm... Benito Beresnitzky, I don't mean to be disrespectful to you, but I don't think it's fair to pidgeon hole them like that. First of all, Most of Delirious was already around and playing (in Britain) by the time Switchfoot first came out of SoCal. Neither of their debut albums sound even remotely the same. And Chris Tomlin is totally southern influenced, which doesn't apply to either of the other bands...
My pastors sons and my son love delirious music, we saw them in San Antonio at the municipal auditorium and then drove the next day to Houston to see them in concert, with David Crowder opening the concert for them, WOW! We will never forget it!!!
Martin Smith has a more distinct TONE. Their enunciation is similar, but listen to each others songs back to back and you can hear the tonal differences.
wdcover: Martin Smith is the lead singer of Delirious. His voice can easily be confused with Matt Redman's, especially on slower, less rocky songs, especially on the very old Delirious albums. Out of curiosity, anyone from England think the same thing? Or is it easier for you to tell them apart.
Their music will never be forgotten because they new how to take us into the Holy Holies to worship the King Jesus! Thank you Lord for Delirious,Steve Martin and band!!!
I've seen them twice, touring with Joyce Meyer and they are by far the best Christian band around. Martin has an awesome voice. He sounds very much like Bono. Hope to see them again with Joyce.
As much as I like to root for the underdog, Satan is one I will pass on. He's going to be thrown into the lake of fire soon and I'm very glad Jesus saved me from that same fate. He saved you too Ghost Face you just don't know it yet.

THE ARE THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!=D
Delirious? is the best band EVER! That pretty much sums it up. They love God with all of their hearts, which shines through in their music and is what makes it so good.
They are the best christian band! I love them! I've seen them in concert 5 times. They are so awesome live! I just found out that they won't be touring or releasing any more music. I am so sad about that. But God has truely blessed us with Delirious?!
