I remember the first time I heard this song I was a freshman in college (2000) and I was really stressed about school and this song brought tears to my eyes and reaffirmed me that I was capable and still am! Everytime I hear this song I get misty and I thank God for Donny Hathaway who helped me make it through!
We need to instill this in all children, everyday. Not just tell them everytime they do something wrong, we need to praise and guide them even when they don't want to listen. Never give up on our own, never.

This song came out when I was a freshman in high school. On my goodness what treasures we had that got us to where we are today with a Black President in the White House!
What a beautiful gift the lord has given the world too have and still have Mr.Hathaway' s spirit in our hearts after all these years.
