These lyrics are explaining the state of mind of someone in the situation of panic attacks, and the surrounding hysteria . I personally think the lyrics are really good. They truly convey an emotional state well. If a goal of art is to be emotionally evocative then I would say, for me, it is a great piece of art.

Its like every note or key is exactly where it wants to go or needs to be with Dream Theater. Astonishing musicians, capable of achieving nearly any genre, or style of music. Each musician brings their own ingredient to the mixture making the song perfectly unique. This song was selected from a Fall of Troy channel, which goes to show how versatile they are/were. True artistry.

Actually this is one of DT's songs where I'm not terribly disappointed with the vocals. This is LaBrie's best kind of perfomance I think. Not trying too hard, not trying to outdo the music, just actually going with it.
