Edenbridge were founded by guitarist and songwriter Lanvall as a studio project. He had already released three solo albums on the German label Music Is Intelligence (aka WMMS) and Si Wan Records in Korea. Female singer Sabine Edelsbacher, bassist Kurt Bednarsky, and drummer Roland Navratil completed the lineup. When Edenbridge sent the demo version of the album to record companies, a deal with Massacre Records was quickly signed. Soon the band had world-wide recognition and its first release was licensed to South America, North America, and Japan. ~ Cesar Lanzarini, Rovi
I keep hearing this band since only a week or two ago and I already love them. I'm also proud to say that I can already tell it's them by their guitar riffing alone. Awesome stuff!
i heard one song in another playlist and knew i had to make a pandora radio for it i love this band and i love this music KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK EDENBRIDGE
Just found out about this group today... Considering Krypteria, Nightwish, and Theatre of Tragedy are some of my favorite bands... I should have found Edenbridge sooner!
I picked up My Earth Dream recently and have been listening to it intermittently ever since - my only complaint is that there are only 10 tracks, ha ha!
I started a Nightwish station hoping to find some nice melodic fantasy metal. Between the few songs of this I've heard and newly-discovered Epica, I'm set.
Hmm, I like Edenbridge better, but I like harder metal. WT is a little softer than I like. Don't get me wrong-they're still awesome. Of course, I have yet to hear many songs from Enter, which I've heard is awesome. I've got Gatekeeper from that CD, but that's it. The only place I've been able to find it is Barnes and Noble, and I'm not payng $17 for eight tracks. Do you guys think it might be on Amazon?
If you like Edenbridge you might also enjoy Epica and Kyrpteria as well although they are a bit more dark so maybe Theatre of Tragedy would be a closer comparison
I've only had a few of their songs show up on my station so far, but I've enjoyed all of them. The chorus of Adamantine in particular was very interesting.
very similar to leaves eyes and Nightwish but more uplifting then both not quite as gritty as nightwish either more of a light happy sound which is a nice spin on metal every once in awhile i like to listen to them
