Later Anglican church hymn. Words written in 1804 by William Blake ("Tyger, tyger/Burnin g bright..."). Music originally composed by Sir Hubert Parry during WWI and first orchestrated by Sir Edward Elgar ("Pomp and Circumstance " ) . Many Englishmen consider it their national anthem and prefer it to "God Save the Queen". The rest of the UK understandab l y prefer the latter.
