This song is a perfect example of non-bombasti c progressive, short, sweet, to the point, underplayed etc. etc. a much appreciated alternative nuance of the talent of E.L.P. one of my top five E.L.P. tunes.

This is one of favorite songs - period! A beautiful love song, nice little guitar solo in the middle, great vocals by Lake. I agree with glornt- they didn't overdue it at all in this song- simplicity is what makes this song perfect.

First-rate musicianship . Glornt is right on target here about not doing too much. There's a time and a place to show off, and another to hold back. As stated in Ecclesiastes and repeated by the Byrds.

One of their solid pieces. Layered beautifully. Very entertaining to see live. Beautiful. Just Beautiful. Peace.

ELP was the first big rock concert I attended back in 1977! I remember it like yesterday ... it was that good. Unbelievable talent.

Your right, ELP was so subtle in so much of their music. They were so talented individually , Keith Emerson was way in front of the curve, CP is the best percussionis t of our time. Got to see them in 76. What a show. Rev Rob

What is so impressive about this song to me is that given ELP's musical firepower, they exercised tremendous restraint and avoided the temptation to "overplay". The drumming in particular is just enough -- anything more would've gotten in the way -- and while Emerson does get in a solo, he avoids the pyrotechnics that could've ruined the overall feel of the piece. This just goes to show that there's more to virtuosity than mere technical ability.

"You see its all clear, you were meant to be here." From the beginning. This song is about God. The album Trilogy alludes to a few other Christian influences. Perhaps the most talented 3 man band ever. Cal Palmer is the best drummer of all time. Just my opinion. Rev Rob

strange I've never heard this, how strange.. fits in well between "Open your eyes" by Yes and "Making Memories" by Rush. Damn.......! ! ! ! !
