Brooklyn-based indie rock outfit the End of the World comprised vocalist/guitarist Stefan Marolachakis, guitarist Benjamin Smith, and drummer Robert Stillman. The guys released a four-song self-titled EP in May 2005 that made minor waves around their local scene, one of its tracks ("The Little Theater") even referred to by The Village Voice as "the best song to come out of Brooklyn last year." The song was also featured in the 2004 film The Manchurian Candidate. Touring around the country before settling into a house in Maine to write more material, the band eventually headed over to the Key Club in Benton Harbor, MI, to record its full-length debut. With bassist Adam Chilenski on board, the End of the World issued the resulting You're Making It Come Alive in the fall of 2006 through Flameshovel. Various tour dates with Cursive and Jeremy Enigk followed. ~ Corey Apar, Rovi
