My sister used to play this on our piano when we were kids. Every time I hear this, I think about her. Now that's she's moved across the country, I really miss her, and this song always brings a tear to my eye (whilst it could almost achieve that on it own without the emotional attachment it has to my sister).
With the exception of Orinoco Flow and Storms in Africa II, this album is very melancholy to me. IF she weren't so intensely private, I'd love to know what she was thinking when she created this album.

Bought this CD in a record store in Savannah, Georgia, knowing nothing of Enya other than an ad I'd seen in Rolling Stone, and I'll never forget the first time I played Watermark and realized this music was exactly as I'd hoped.
I first listen to Enya's unique music in the island of St. Martin ( Caribbean) in a hotel La Ressidance in about 1995. It was then when I heard about Celtic music. Since then I love this beautiful woman and her music. MIGUEL
When I first heard this sumptuous piece, Watermark, in 1989, I thought it embodied the total expression of LOVE, in an intensely spiritual way. Although it's a simple theme, it goes DEEP into the heart.
