(continued) about great study music. I am a college biology professor and I wish my students would listen to this music. Better for the ears AND the psyche! Thank you Nancy for many years of enjoyment--I have a dozen of your and Eric's CD's. Wish I could see you in concert.

When I saw Nancy's posts I HAD to post myself. I first discovered Nancy and Eric's music in 1987. My husband and I walked into a gift store in Baltimore and heard this transcendant music--it was this album. It was the first "new age" cassette I ever bought. One of the MANY things I love about PANDORA is seeing young people discover this wonderful music that folks call "adult alternative" but which clearly speaks to everyone who loves melodic, creative and thoughtful works.
I LOVE the comment

Great study music. Love the haunting sounds of the flute and guitar. I also enjoy Loreena McKennitt and Blackmore's night. Makes a nice change from the computerized top 40 stuff that I listen to.

I love this music! My favorite songs so far are Sacajawea and Don Juan. Beautiful music! Thank you, Eric Tingstad & Nancy Rumbel!!! Thank you so much! Also, "dankfumes83 " commented, "am i the only one listening to this great music under the age of 30," and the answer to that is no. I am younger than 30, and I love listeng to Eric Tingstad & Nancy Rumbel. Once again, thank you, Nancy and Eric!!!
Hi -- I am one of the artists on Emerald and you can find more of my music Nancy Rumbel in combination with my long time musical collaborator guitarist Eric Tingstad by looking into our music as a duo Tingstad & Rumbel -- we have many CDs released (over 19)or as individual artists. Spencer Brewer also has CDs available. You can google us and go to our websites etc... We're alive and still performing!!

If you're just chilling around the house, or need some mellow background music, give this artist a listen-to.

So happy to have found you. Beautiful beyond words. Pandora Radio helps me find music that can be lived by. Thank you...

Beautiful! Reminds me of the song played at the very end of 'Peggy Sue Got Married', which I can't find anywhere. I can't even find the exact name of that song.

love the music. Heard it first in 1990 in Yakima in the NW at the old Allied Arts. Now in Texas and heard it ...brought back lots of good memories. Are you still performing at all?
When my father was 73 he played some of your music he'd just discovered. It brings his music back to me....Thanks

Nancy, Eric: That Shadow Dancer piece is one of my favorites on your Emerald CD. Thank you, Nancy, for putting your own thoughts here...what a treasure to "speak" to the artist!

just discovered your music. it is so relaxing to listen to and quite frankly my favorite style.
Your music has soothed my Spirit for many years. I have missed your live performances but have found your music to add strength to me.
Thank you....Erik
Nancy, Eric, Thank you both for dedicating your lives to music and sharing it with us. Such a lovely and transporting sound! Galileo. Yes, I could listen to this any time and for years. It has an uplifting quality that makes me think of birds soaring and also floating on the wind currents. And it puts me in mind of forests - the timelessness and aliveness, and of ocean waves shifting sands gently, as well as the desert mesas of Az. and N.M. with their colors, shapes, that connect earth and sky.
Whoa! Thanks for posting here, Nancy. It blows me away that you would take the time to post. I guess I can't drop any negative comments now! Just kidding. I have only great things to say, like "Woodlands" (1990), was my first exposure to your music, and I've been a fan ever since. You and Eric always provide such wonderful relief from piano which seems to dominate the genre! I think it would be great if other artists posted as well. People might behave better.
This was a compliation that Narada did late in our career with them that blended our very first recording that Narada put out Emerald - a CD that was half music of Eric and myself and half the music of Spencer Brewer and Legends - a CD of Tingstad & Rumbel that came out a couple of years later. It's early Tingstad & Rumbel for sure!
I thank God for this, positive and moving. It sure gives a whole new meaning to doing the dishes. I have been looking for music that you just cannot find on the radio; what a long journey to find this. It is just enought to give peace. The fact that my eighteen year old said, "I love you and good night," moments ago, well, I probably will never forget this song.
This is another GREAT artist that I would have never known about if it wasn't for Pandora!! Simply amazing isn't it? This is a fantastalistic website!! Love this music!!
