This is a very nice interpretation of John Williams' amazing, instant-classic Christmas carol. Somewhere In My Memory was nominated for an Academy Award for best original song.
It is truly mind-boggling that it lost to Sooner or Later (I Always Get My Man) by Stephen Sondheim, from the movie Dick Tracy. Just one more example of the total dearth of taste and sense in Hollywood that has unsurprisingly--and still depressingly--persisted into the 3rd Millenium
one of my absolutely fav contemporary carols (along with Silver Bells). And yes, I can find myself singing this to myself in the middle of the summer. I sang this to a friend's dying mother, it just seemed a good choice.

I think is such a beautiful song. I started listening to Christmas songs November 1st, never too early, I say!
I thought this tune was called Somewhere In My Memory, off the Home Alone soundtrack. This is a different recording with children's choir and all, but why is the title different?
