what a coincidence. . . t h i s song wasn't in the movie of the same name, but just last night heard it in the movie 'Tin Man'...a 1980's movie about 2 aluminum siding salesmen...n o b o d y got shot, but boy did they do a number on each other's Cadillac...g o figure...oka y I will..let's see...2 plus 2 equals???... h m m m . . . l e t ' s see...hmmm.. . o k a y . . . 1 plus 1 equals?...hm m m . . . d i d I tell you that this song was in 'Tin Man' ???
'give me liberty or give me death'...for Liberty Vance, death was your only liberty...un t i l he ran into the Duke of Wayne (Wayne is an English estate in Cornwall...I think)...ins t e a d of the typical gunfight in the Western street...the y choose to have a joust...the Duke unseated Vance and then 'taunted' him...which drew a 15 yard penalty (hey, you do know that today is Super Bowl Sunday)...st i l l , the Duke kicked the extra point, and Vance as well, drawing another penalty flag..JayDuk e of Cornball
alright Duke...do you have a license for that six-shooter? ? ? no... you're just going to have to mosey over to the Sherriffs office and fill out the forms...in triplicate.. . w a i t seven days...then shoot the bad guys...'What the hell happened to the Old West???
Listen here pilgrim...if ya keep messin' with Jimmy Stewart, I'm just gonna have to knock that porterhouse steak off your plate...and if your toadie trys to pick it up for you ('I'll git Librerty)... I ' l l just have to stomp his face...(Hors e ' d a vors-puckies )
Too bad they did nit use this tune in the movie of the same name. It was aclassic John Ford Western.
