Pick up the new Juice magazine and Tony James talks about this song and how when Billy split Gen X, he "took" it with him, not neccesarily by agreement, and that they didn't talk for a couple of years because of it. weird that is just came on after I read that a couple of days ago! Generation X was around for a couple of years I believe, then Tony James (wrote this song), was in a bunch of other bands.

Anyone know how long they were a band before Billy Idol went solo or if any of the band members stayed under the new name. The term Generation X wasn't that popular at the time.

Generation X!! Classic Billy Idol, and Dancing with Myself to boot! For so long I thought it was a ray of light in his solo career... little did I know it was a collaboratio n that he ended up owning when Gen X bellied up. Now its mine...thanx Pandora!
