Formed in 2011 by former Sky Eats Airplane and Of Mice & Men singer Jerry Roush, Glass Cloud explore the extreme ends of the sonic spectrum with their progressive metalcore sound. The band came together quickly with the recruitment of longtime friends and Berklee College of Music grads Travis Sykes (bass) and Chad Hasty (drums), as well as the eight-string expertise of Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza guitarist Josh Travis, and was signed by Equal Vision just a month after Roush announced the full lineup. Glass Cloud's combination of musical acrobatics and raw, low-end fury creates a sound that feels like pure chaotic catharsis, pummeling the listener with both their incredible musicianship and their unfiltered aggression. The band's debut album, The Royal Thousand, arrived on Equal Vision in 2012. ~ Gregory Heaney, Rovi
Just saw these guys a few days ago. Absolutely phenominal. Their stage presence is unparalleled and all the members are super cool guys. Can't wait to see them again.
Best new band of 2012 of course that's easy when your so obviously berkley music clones and far from true metal heads. Still amazing for cliche' post prog screamo chick metal
