In response to your question, Edwin, the giant reanimated head in the Dare video is that of Shaun Ryder, one of the collaborators on the Demon Days album. Now maybe I'm misinterpreting your question, so here's my second answer: it's Gorillaz, crazy s**t like that happens on a regular basis. Just roll with it, and be glad they didn't go with the original idea, which cast Ryder as a tiny (nude?) fairy in a music box. As a sidenote, the video for this song is what got me hooked on Gorillaz.
