This is one of many- my songs. In 1969 the band played west of Scappoose Oregon in between Scappoose and the coast on a farm. They played all night till the morning

some are better then others, but I have to agree, any one is magical, and on Pandora I'll take a AM Dew anytime. Best Jerry ballet.

Thanks orpilorp--co o l name--I found that concert, didn't know about archive.org. but so far only located the streaming version and quality's not that good. Still, happy to have found it. With your help, thanks.

This version is very good but not great. For superb versions try 6/07/77, 8/06/71, 6/18/83, 9/18/87, 9/17/82 or the very best, 5/08/77; all downloadable free and legal at archive . org
Fantastic version.

Look for 5-8-77 Cornell Morning Dew. Probably the single greatest performed song by any band in the history of music. The St. Stephen>NFA> S t . Stephen preceding it is absolutely perfect as well.

After listening to this "Morning Dew" for the second time, i believe i'll go try to find it on DVD at our WATERLOO RECORDS AND TAPES STORE, here in Austin. SMOKIN' VERSION!!!

The Grateful Dead played their last show in Austin Texas, "25" years ago today, on my birthday, August 31st, 1985!!! It was actually a Horse Race Track about 7 miles east of Austin, At Manor downs, which was still considered being out in the country back then!! There were only about 15,000 people or so--which was considered alot--and the sound was impeccable, Jerry was quoted as saying!!! I don't remember if they played a version of Morning Dew that evening, but the show was UNBELIEVABLE ! !

I was at many Vegas shows and one evening show in particular featured a jumbo screen with close ups of Jerry playing guitar during this song. the entire crowd of 40k stood slient listening and watching Jerry belt this out. Hearing this tune brings me back to that moment, gosebumps and all. A moment that lasts forever suspended time, the man just had a way with music in general. I miss him greatly.
One of my all time favorite GD tunes, this version is I think from 'Skull and Roses' or 'Europe '72' however, and not 'Truckin' up to Buffalo'

I first heard this song ten years ago at age 21. It was a different live version but i remember lying, like the dude from the big lebowski, on a carpet in the living room of the house I lived in at the time...feeli n g high from a great day of existing...m y head spinning with the emotional power of a freight train...I heard the song for the first time and I cried.

I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and this song was a creation of a local group, Damnation Of Adam Blessing, who received lots of regional airplay in the late 60's early 70's. I was a regular at a bar called D-Poos Tool And Die Works in area known as The Flats before anyone knew it existed. I drove down to the 1970 Rock Festival at Crosley Field in Cincinnati. I got high on acid and "misplaced" my car.http://w w w . d a m n a t i o n o f a d a m b l e s s i n g . n e t / i l l u s i o n s . h t m l
