The curiously named Guggenheim Grotto are a folk-pop trio from Dublin, Ireland, consisting of Kevin May (vocals, guitar, keyboard), Mick Lynch (vocals, guitar, bass, viola), and Shane Power (drums, keyboard). In 2003 May and Lynch began playing together in Dublin and soon recruited Power after he had done production work on their first EP, A Lifetime in Heat. The group's first full-length album, ...Waltzing Alone, followed and was self-released only in Ireland in September 2005. It was released in North America a year later through UFO Music. ~ Kenyon Hopkin, Rovi
Seen them twice, and loved them! There was maybe 15 people at their last concert I saw so it was really nice! I hope they came back around again sometimes!

Saw them when they opened for Ingrid Michaelson, Great show!
I have had the opportunity to listen to them twice, live, in San Francisco. They are phenomenal. They continue to put out albums, to be heard live. Please go see them. They opened recently during a tour with "They Might Be Giants" in many cities. They are also nice people and funny.
Their second album Happy the Man is amazing, anyone who enjoys Waltzing Alone NEEDS to check it out.
