Paying little attention to the extreme death metal sounds their hometown was renowned for, the four natives of Gothenburg, Sweden, who formed Hardcore Superstar in 1998 drew upon melodic, glammed-up hard rock, especially the sleazy L.A. pop-metal sound of the '80s. Vocalist Jocke Berg, guitarist Silver Silver, bassist Martin Sandvik, and drummer Magnus Andreasson recorded an album titled It's Only Rock 'N' Roll and released it on their own label in 1998, attracting praise from Motorhead's Lemmy. After opening for Motorhead on a Scandinavian tour, Hardcore Superstar signed with Music for Nations and recorded their debut album, Bad Sneakers and a Piña Colada, in 1999. They scored two Swedish Top Ten singles from the record, and built up their audience through constant gigging. Koch Records issued their album in the U.S. in early 2001. ~ Steve Huey, Rovi
hardcore superstar kicks a**...f**k the emo scremo punk heads wow dont like it like these 2 f**ks under me...sleaze rock gets all the p**sy dont hate us becouse your punk rock only chases the p**sy away F*GS!!!!!
Haha you said Black Flag is hardcore. Dead Kennedys? Bad Religion? They aren't even hardcore..they are punk. I agree, these guys f**king blow but still..if you are going to talk trash, learn your genres
F**k that whole Motley Crue sleaze metal, these guys are as hardcore as Barry Manilow! Hardcore is s**t like Black Flag, The Dead Kennedys, and Bad Religion. So, I'd say "f**k Hardcore Superstar" but that's what they want, someone to f**k them, besides f**king is too good for them. Murder however is not, hmmmmmmm...
Sleazey they are i agree where do they get there similarities any way besides all the other old sleaze bands these guys are one of my favorites dreamin awsome album
I would have to say that the "Similar Artists" are a bit less than similar... House of Lords? Please... try Crashdiet, Crazy Lixx, this is sleaze at it's finest, and I do mean finest. These guys are the creme de la creme hailing from the sleaze capital of the world at the moment, Sweden. Start with the s/t and then move on (quickly) to Dreamin' in a Casket, their latest release which is at least as good.
