Drummer Sharon Heather and singer/guitarist Christy Kane met in New Orleans in 2002, and soon began working up material as Hazard County Girls. Sean Yseult (ex-White Zombie) and Katie Campbell (Nashville P**sy) both held down the bass position before Jennifer K finally got the job. With the lineup solidified, the trio took their show on the road, and soon made the South and beyond their little plaything. A few singles and compilation appearances followed before the Never No More LP dropped from Wooden Wheel in late 2002. It showcased the Hazard County Girls' dark union of sludgy riffs, droll vocals, and pummeling percussion. ~ Johnny Loftus, Rovi
Agreed, Koku, badmoviepoli c e jumping the gun. Probably hearing one song and comparing them to Mr. Cobain's muderer, AKA, the Yoko Ono of the Nineties. These chicks sound like they rock, and have a pretty good resume. Love to have them some rock Alaska!
Funny how opinionated every one on here gets... These gals passed through LA a wile back and rocked me pretty good... If you can catch their show you will have a great time
Hole? Really? Or perhaps you just hear some chicks singing hard rock and all your tiny width of perception can think of is Hole?
Not even close, L7 maybe? Yeah, I can hear that. Thier new album is damn good from what I've heard of it, and their older stuff has a nice rockabilly sludge style to it. Saw them open up for Hank III a few years back and they put on a good show.
AND IF BY DOPE YOU MEAN A COMPLETE HOLE RIP OFF, THEN YOU ARE CORREDT! BY THE WAY, WHAT A HORRIBLE BAND AND LEAD SINGER TO EMULATE. (Hole & Courtney Love that is)
