The seeds for Danish psychobilly sextet, the HorrorPops, were sewn in 1996 during a gig that found bassist/lead singer Patricia Day's indie-punk collective Peanut Pump Gun opening for guitarist Kim Nekroman's band Nekromantix at POPKOM in Cologne, Germany. The two found that they shared a wealth of mutual interests, both musical and personal, and in an attempt to step outside of their respective genres decided to swap instruments and start a band. The addition of drummer Niedermeier, and second guitarist Caz the Clash, both formerly of (Strawberry Slaughterhouse), rounded out the newly dubbed HorrorPops. In 1998, the band began to play out, attracting audiences with their energetic stage shows that featured go-go girls Mille and Kamilla -- co-workers at a piercing shop with Day -- and headed into the studio to record demos for a press kit. 2000-2002 saw the group touring and building up a loyal following, eventually signing with Hellcat records. In 2003, Caz the Clash left, and was replaced by K'aarrghh'sten (aka Karsten), also a former member of Strawberry Slaughterhouse, and the group saw the release of a vinyl single containing "Ghouls" and "Psychobitches Outta Hell." The full-length Hell Yeah was released in April 2004 on the legendary punk label Epitaph. Both Mille and Karsten departed during the extensive touring for Hell Yeah, but HorrorPops didn't slow down. Geoff Kresge gave up playing standup bass in Tiger Army to join the Pops on guitar, and band pal Naomi (renamed No-No) took Mille's open dancer spot. In 2005 HorrorPops managed some Warped Tour gigs even as they recorded an album; Bring it On, their second effort for Epitaph, appeared in September of that year, followed by Kiss Kiss Kill Kill in early 2008, an album for which the band returned to its original three-piece line-up. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi
Patrica is friggen hot ;o) To all the haters like moomoo if you hate these guys why do you commit so much time to their feed? Are you really that bored living in your mom's basement, playing black ops and popping in a jar?
Walk Like A Zombie is great. I love thier mix of female/male vocals.

Super cool group. They sent me a bunch of signed stuff when I had my face smashed up and was in the hospital. I didnt even ask but they found of through a mutual friend and did it for me. Really appreciated that.
A good looking woman hammering a stand up bass is beyond sexy as well.
they both rock, what a greater gift than your man making your own bass

@ Crystal:
The irony is that Nekroman's other band (Horrorpops) is so much more BEAST than his own band. Patricia's massive sexiness is the main draw, along with her killer vocals.
i really lovethis song and the chicks voice is soooo hot. i wish i couold sing like that!!!

First heard about this band from a random girl I ran into at work, I liked the art work on her shirt, so I asked about the band, and it turned out to be this band. Must say I'm glad I did.

BULTA, your out in left field. This chicks voice is the only chicks voice I can tolerate, let alone really enjoy. From my perspective your wrong! I need to get them to play my bar!
this chick sounds like siouxie sioux....and that isnt a very good thing at all....if they got a singer who didnt sound like a chicken having trouble taking a crap when she is singing then this would be really good
i finally saw them in october. it was the higlight of my f**king life.
i could have watched them play for years. watching patricia on that bass is just f**king mesmorizing. did i mention i was lucky enought to meet her and nekroman. yep. sure was. couldn't breathe straight for a while.
this music is just so fun. it makes you just wanna go go F**KING GO!
