The album cover was the best thing about this record

Jeez, how many people have made bad decisions due to album cover name?

One of my favorite songs on one of my favorite albums from one of my favorite bands. Awesome.

Great song, it has become one of my favorite songs by them

The bridge really saves this song. Without that bridge the song is luke warm, but that's what great composers like Harris do and vocalists like Bruce-Bruce are there for.

1 of the other things I loved about their albums was the artistic covers. Has or does anyone ever seen the falling angel in the background from where Eddie just shot him ? So detailed their albums are. :-)

Would love to see them get honored one day and as an anchor, have Maiden come out playing with Paul DiAnno then Bruce and finally with Blaze. And to top it all off have all three vocalist come out and sing "Iron Maiden" together. Just a thought...

EPIC song

One of the many reasons I love the Somewhere in Time disc! lol, apparently the Whoa ho ho! section in the middle became a reason for the band to have a team of contest winners allowed on stage to sing the section along w/ Bruce.

One of my favorite Maiden songs. I love the concept, and it leaves you wondering what really happened. It's open to interpretati o n . That's poetry.

Agreed with below...

A good song, however the Heaven can wait part of the chorus gets boring and repetitive after a while.

a lot of dickinson's vocal delivery is ineed unintelligib l e , especially to the lay person...lyr i c a l l y they are so complex that sometimes they try to cram in too many words and it is rushed. overall however i really like this song and album--the guitar synths gave them a more pop-ish feeling for lack of a better word, but the songwriting was excellent--h o w great is sea of madness, deja vu and alexander the great?

it it just me that thinks the "whoo-ooh" chorus part near the end of the song is one of the most amazing excerpts of any IM song?

fair song...not one of my favorites

UP the irons from MICHIGAN cant wait to see them 7-18
Report as inappropriate
Not abstract, and not 'unintelligi b l e ' either. I think Pandora just doesn't get that the Irons sing about stuff most other bands don't touch.

abstract !!?? nope !! Up the Irons from L.A.

sometimes it sounds like he says Heaven CAN'T wait. Maiden is always kinda confusing and sends out so many messages one can make whatever he wants to out of it.
regardless, they are a monster of a band, has anyone really done it better for longer, touring the world and putting out good material? I don't think so.

abstract and wonderful.. great energy, great tune

...I would

Not sure if I would consider these lyrics abstract...
