saw the band a few nights ago at the Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD and they were fantastic! If they come to your town go see them, a show not to be missed!
Was never a huge fan of J. Geils Band, regardless-- they did do some great stuff

They're Taking You Down----they're gonna right you up & they're gonna right you off! Peter Wolf---used to DJ live on weekend nights from the Boston Tea Party on WBCN 104.1FM 1968---I wanna go Baaaack!
I saw Peter Wolfe at a Boston nightclub in the very early 80's and he was a larger than life Rock Star....Too Cool....

First concert I ever went to was in 1977 at the Pontiac Silverdome. J Geils opened for Steve Miller and Peter Frampton and stole the show!!! Blew my 14 year old face off....hahahaha
Throughout the mid to late 70s Geils played consecutively between Christmas and New Years @ the spingfield Civic Center( MA ). Being the band was from Boston they were w/out a doubt the HOTTEST Band to see live. The phrase ''Blow Your Face Out'' was an understatement!! Hats off to Peter Wolf, The Greatest Frontman I've Ever seen!!
One of the best live bands ever. I saw them last week in Detroit and they are still fantastic in their mid-60s1

These guys always sold out San Antonio until November 1977 (?) when Kiss & Rush both played twice and Ted Nugent and Mahogany Rush each had shows. Money was tight so not many people showed up for J. Geils. As a result the balcony was closed for the show and I got front rows seats and they blew my face off.
Without a doubt the best live shows ever. One downside for me is that Monkey Island, one of the (not just their) albums ever has and does receive so little acclaim. I recently resurrected my vinyl technology and this was album #1. Listening to J geils gives me a taste for some heavliy chilled thunderbird.
The first four albums culminating with Full House and Bloodshot it never got any better. A live show in the early 70's just never got any louder or any funkier than the J. Geils Band.
You know what I really love about "Full House" is that the picture on the album cover (I know that dates me as old) is not a full house. 3 Jacks 1 King and 1 winking Queen.
Being from New England and growing up as a teenager in the 70"s, this was my favorite partying band. It was always a big deal when they came to town to rock the crowd. Their music always takes me back to those happy times.

Was a 'late bloomer' when it comes to J Geils. As a kid, all I knew was 'Love Stinks' and Centerfold'...which really didn't do anything for me. What a nice surprise it was to discover albums like 'Bloodshot', 'Sanctuary', 'Nightmares', and 'Blow Your Face Out'!!! Great band. Looking forward to finally catching them in Boston this summer with Aerosmith!!

Full House is my favorite live record. Whammer jammer, Serves you right to suffer. I was in junior high when this record came out and I still own the vinyl copy. Not many better live bands.
Love J.Geils! Wish they would come back to Cleveland! I have never sat down at one of their concerts, if your not dancing then your dead! Love Pam in Cleveland

I was standing in the supermarket looking at magazines with my Dad, 10 or 11 years old 1981, when "soft, fuzzy sweaters, too magical to touch" sunk in and I was hooked. Fan ever since.
What's wrong with the world today? NOT ENOUGH J. Geils Band!!!!!! Brings back a flood of concert road trip flashbacks. I saw them for the Bloodshot and Full House tours. This is where Rock N Roll was and needs to be again.Fantastic job guys.Pandora ROCKS!!! Love it.....NEVER stop.
