Jack Hardy

Jack Hardy has been a central figure in folk music since his arrival in Greenwich Village in 1978. Instrumental in founding the Songwriter's Exchange, the SpeakEasy Musician's Co-op, and Fast Folk Musical Magazine, Hardy has released numerous albums domestically on his Great Divide label, extending into the 21st century with such CDs as Bandolier (2002), Coin of the Realm (2004), Tinker’s Coin: Celtic Anthology (2005), and Noir (2007). Considered a writer's writer, he is known for politics in his songs, Americanized Irish influences, and a preoccupation with mythological imagery, mixed up with standard New York folk & roll. Hardy's 16th album, Rye Grass, arrived on Great Divide in 2009. ~ Richard Meyer, Rovi

He bores me
@matthew4385 just because this music doesnt agree with you politically( i agree with you though) doesnt mean you have to hate the whole song!
Does anyone know where to find May Day to download for free? It was a favorite as a child, and my mother and I couldn't for the life of us find this tape.
One of the best songwriters to have lived. A true bard that lived his music, and brought magic into the lives of those that listened to it. Never will his like walk this earth again.

Mediocre, sour-grapes, music of a class B communist. The music of left wing servitude will never overcome the glory of the freedom-lovi n g country and western genre. Let me be the first to celebrate his inadequacy here with you all!
Thanks Pandora, another great artist added to my playlist!
Great Irish American music. Easy to listen to with great lyrics. I love the internet and Pandora otherwise i would not have stumbled upon this talented artist.

I met Jack at the Woody Guthrie fest, sitting in a porch swing. I told him "his sound came from way back and down deep", he said that's the best compliment that he had had all week. We shared some long necks and good conversation . I didn't know who he was but googled him later. A true gentleman
Is that a zeppelin in your pocket? Or is this guy just that good?
Is that Mark Knopfler playing lead guitar or is this guy just that good?
