Americana singer/songwriter Jeff Finlin began his performing career as the drummer in the Thieves, which issued a pair of LPs on Capitol before disbanding. Several years later he signed to MCA as a solo act, recording an album which went unreleased; Finlin ultimately signed to producer Pete Anderson's Little Dog label, issuing his debut Highway Diaries in 1997. Don't judge Jeff Finlan by his recordings. Listen to the words, stories, and emotions in the songs more than his studio voice. If you ever get the chance to see him live, you have to go. In person he is an amazing performer. I've gotten to see him live twice at Wyoming's outdoor venues, and his recordings just don't do him justice.
I have had to opprotunity to see Jeff 4 times this past year. He is a great proformer and his song writing is second to none. Give yourself some time to kick back and get into the stories. If you get the chance to see Jeff Live...Jump on it. He plays in Colorado and Wy

I enjoy bios. However, it would be nice if this site included "project info" like who played on the project, where it was recorded and with what gear. Players, Producers/Engineers/studios.Liner notes are interesting to put projects in context.
