Jennifer Thomas is a classically trained pianist, with the violin as a secondary instrument, who appeared as soloist in concertos by Prokofiev and MacDowell. She performed with orchestras and ensembles in Washington, Oregon, and Utah. In 2004, Thomas began composing music in a style combining romantic piano melodies -- both original and borrowed from the classics -- and sweeping instrumentals, sometimes with the sounds of world music for additional color. The first album of her music, Key of Sea, was released in 2007, and led Thomas into some film and commercial work. 2012's Illumination is the third album of her original compositions. ~ Patsy Morita, Rovi
Her music is inspirational and passionate... I absolutely love this! i love how she incorporates different styles, musical periods and instruments together.
Worship the sun? I have no idea what her beliefs are, but the picture just looks like she's posing by the seaside to me. The lighting in the picture is gorgeous.
okay, I just Googled it and this is the song originally written by Billy Joel. She makes it beautiful, too, but I love Billy's original idea of singing it to his little girl with all it's tenderness and gentle feel. Love it any way you slice it!
Does anyone recognize this as the lullaby Billy Joel wrote (at least the lyrics to) for his daughter, Alexa? I think it was on the Storm Front album but I always thought it was so beautiful and still do. Did he take the instrumental and put lyrics to it? Anyone?
I went to high school with Jennifer. We were best friends. She has always been and continues to be as wonderful and beautiful, both inside and out, as her music.
Even when I'm falling asleep, her music makes me get up and look at who made this beautiful song. After a few times I knew when it was her playing on the radio and decided I must find her cds! Thank you pandora!
What smooth and mellow music! It is such pleasure to listen to. Thank you for sharing your talent with all. God's gift to you to express to us!!! Keep them coming,
