Jimmy Needham

Texas-based Contemporary Christian singer/songwriter Jimmy Needham crafts soulful, socially conscious, faith-based pop songs with hints of blues and roots rock thrown in for good measure. Influenced by everyone from Keith Green to Jason Mraz, Needham released his first album, For Freedom, independently in 2005. I don't get the first stanza of Jimmy Needham's song For Freedom from whose perspective is he singing it from. Christ or the church? It doesn't make sense for it to be Christ for various reasons, one being that Christ is the groom and we are his bride. Someone please clarify.

saw jimmy needham in concert this past weekend. also heard a radio interview earlier last week on a local station. he really seems to have a heart for the Lord, not to mention he put on a very good show.

I haven't listened much of "Speak", but I recently saw him in concert, and most of the songs he played were off of his newest release "Not Without Love". Every single song is incredible with its blues-esque guitar rhythms, sincere spiritual lyrics, and soothing vocals. Jimmy Needham is truly an artist.
AAAAA! I love Jimmy Needham's cd Speak. I knew about the group cause my pastor's son was part of the band! I hope he finds a way to get even more out there and known... He has a different style of music that's really cool :)
