I love John Lennon and have since I was 12. It's too bad he was before my time because I would've loved see him perform. He lives on through his music and still strong and still touching people after all these years.
How he was born and grew up not too far from 3 other fairly talented lads in a run down seaport city, and then changed the entire world with those mates...weird but wonderful RIP

It does, but then for a lot of artists, they peak in their 20s then begin a long, slow creative decline. Had he lived, he may have ended up like McCartney - a bit of a has-been who throws out a crappy record every three or four years then makes a gazillion dollars on tour singing songs he wrote when he was in his 20s. Who knows for sure, though. I'm sure Lennon would prefer being a has-been to being dead.

Great acoustic version. This song says so much about who John was, and why we miss him so much. Doesn't it make you wonder what all those greats we lost too early would have done later in life. Think of where music could be today?
