I'm 100% Confederate

To clarify the way battles were named during the War Between the States: the Confederacy used names of the nearest town, city & etc. Yankees used the name of a stream or creek for example; Manassas Virginia is obviously a real town (city - today), where is Bull Run??

Since both battles were Confederate victories , and it is a song relating to the War Between the States, I was surprised that he used the name Bull Run. The Confederate name was Manassas. Yankees used different criteria in naming battles. Still a good song..

I love Johnny Horton. He didn't choose a side. He sang it as it was. Look up the Battles of Bull Run, both the 1st and 2nd were Confederate victories where the Union was routed and in retreat. Hooray for history! Hooray for Johnny!

I love Johnny Horton. He didn't choose a side. It was an actual event and the rebels won. Look up the Battles of Bull Run, both the 1st and 2nd were Confederate victories where the Union was routed and in retreat. Hooray for history!
