Interesting that such an old simple tune (Erik Satie late 1800's) still captivates so well. I remember it from an obscure '60's movie.
Beautiful, makes me sad, love it
one of my favorite pieces.
Honestly I think they put this song in Minecraft. I'm almost certain

written by Erik Satie; was also featured on Blood, Sweat & Tears album in 1968 Variations on a Theme by Erik Satie
This isn't original.
Can anyone say Suzumiya Haruhi no Shōshitsu, they used this in the trailer. It took ME over half the song to realize what I was listening to, and then a few minuets more to figure out where I had herd it before. (course I was listening at a particularly low volume)

Sounds almost copied off of George Shearing's "It never entered my mind"...

I remember it from "The Velvet Gentleman," Camarata Strings, I think. Yes, it is Eric Sate.
I racked my brain to remember how i knew this, & was a little embarrassed when i realized it was Star Trek.

My favorite song - haunting and elegant.

Colleen, I think that it's an original composition by Eric Satie (sp?). Blood Sweat and Tears also recorded it long ago (late 60's?)

Simon and Garfunkel had an vocal interpretati o n called "Old Friends"
Where have I heard this song?? I know it from somewhere in my past life as a music major....I don't recognize the name given nor the performer. I have no doubt it is original; but, it is touching on some distant memory. A true gift.

featured in the Oral Fixation tour , prior to "No" by Shakira
