THIS IS BLASPHEMY!!!!!!! DISGRACING ROCK MUSIC EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!! c'mon, guys! we're off to war!!!!!!! Emilie, HIM and Ev plushies:BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
or perhaps some of us who think sempai is nice are gullible. lol ^^' but since I've chatted with him for a long time, I'm not often offended by sempai's words.
I always think a soul would be more punished if someone pushed them to or if it's done with full consent of the will. otherwise, I don't think we should judge too much, especially if the poor person was sick. :'(
actually, I discuss all sorts of religious and spiritual stuff with my parents. my school wouldn't dare to even teach the grey things in life. probably because us teens are "too young" to be so mature and think that not everything is how it's supposed to be, black or white.
I wonder how morality will be for me in my conservative school. I'd get a kick at some of the stuff they'll present like the classical examples (suicide, abortion, etc.)
Anyhow, I used to think suicide meant Hell, but I was discussing it the other day with some friends, and I think that in the end, it's God's descision. However, I do think suicide is wrong.
I was laughing at your interpretation. Perhaps in poor taste, sorry.
Indeed? That's interesting. My denomination of Christianity has always told me it's Hell or nothing with suicide. Glad there are some other schools of thought out there.
I'm quite assured that you will never surprise me.
I'm sure that the moment you hear "Tourniquet", you'll be turned off Evanescence forever...same with a lot of other bands.
You might try listening to Cage the Elephant. That's a group that might appeal more to you. "Ain't No Rest for the Wicked" is definitely their best song.
Ev was a good start for me into metal music. but that's just me. (I second sempai's comment.)
not bad. "My Immortal" was a great song for me until I heard the song a billion times on the radio. that killed it for me. but for you, that's a decent start. :)
STILL. I doubt you'd like a HIM station. sempai has a lot of grief with it. (and rarely plays it. not his cup of tea. ^^)
*prepares for everyone to gasp* That may be true, but I've been considering making a Evanescence (did I spell that right?) station. I heard "My Immortal" on my "Christian Music" station (which I thought was odd), but it was a beautiful song.

I was raised a Lutheran.
I agree that suicide is wrong.

Don't laugh at my opinion. It's not nice.

What denomination are you?

suicide is more of a grey issue: where is the line between right and wrong if one exists?
Okay, but just for the record, not all Christians think suicide equals a one way ticket to hell. In my opinion, in the end it's up to God.
Also, the other thing the song seems to be asking is, "God, if I kill myself, will I still go to Heaven?"
I'll give you a hint though. What's odd about this: "Where are you going? Where have you been"?
I'd assume a hardliner Christian like yourself would take offense at it.
kk has the potential... it might take a life time... but there MIGHT be potential...
I haven't heard that song, Sluggy. Why will it turn me off of Evanescence?
I'm sure that the moment you hear "Tourniquet" , you'll be turned off Evanescence forever...sa m e with a lot of other bands.
