Norwegian black metal band Kampfar began life as a solo project for ex-Mock frontman Dolk in the summer of 1995. Their demo tape was issued by the French Season of Mist label that year, and the group signed with the German label Malicious for the 1997 album Mellom Skogkledde Aaser. Friction between Dolk and the label resulted in a move to Hammerheart, for whom Kampfar recorded the EP Norse in 1998. Fra Underverdenen appeared a year later. ~ Steve Huey, Rovi
i like this band. they have a unique sound and i like the medium pace. u can still sund dark and evil without the use of fast tremolo picking and undeciferable blast beats(Frost). good stuff

I think Willow is probably a true metal fan! I get the joke: He (or she or it) is on every serious metal page talking about godsmack. If willow really thinks godsmack is good (what are you thinking Jon B.?) how would he/she/it end up on the Kampfar page? Even if its not a joke, its still funny. Do I win something for figuring out the willow riddle? \666/
I really like Kampfar, they're a really good Norwegian black metal band. And by the way, Godsmack isn't really metal... more like hard rock with a ton of Alice In Chains and grunge influence. They're good, but they're not metal.

oh, Willow. If Godsmack indeed is "True Metal", I'll gladly stick with my "fake" stuff.
