Karma To Burn

Formed in Hicksville, WV, by guitarist William, bassist Dickie, and drummer Nicholas, Karma to Burn is a highly original heavy rock band, who has insisted on remaining an instrumental combo. The band doesn't even name their songs, simply assigning them numbers as they are written. This unconventional stance made it hard for the band to find a record deal, and when they finally signed with Roadrunner Records in late 1996, it was under the condition that they find a singer. After drafting J. Jarosz for vocal duties, the band released their self-titled debut in early 1997, earning widespread critical accolades for their dark, trance-like metal riffs. The album sold poorly, however, and they soon fired Jarosz and returned to their instrumental format, prompting Roadrunner to drop the band. After replacing Nicholas with new drummer Rob, the band recorded their second album, Wild Wonderful Purgatory, for independent MIA Records in 1999. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia

He sounds a lot like John Garcia from Kyuss.

I don't have a problem at all with no singer. I usually don't pay much attention to lyrics anyway. The voice is just another instrument that adds texture to music. Use it or not it's the music that counts.

It's all getting crushed, it's all about getting crushed. Crushed into a oneness that is the instrumental being of being whole

PAY ATTENTION and UNDERSTAND what happens when MUSICIANS aren't bored playing chorus for some facehole with a microphone. IGNORE negative reviews; they don't get it. Props to SKILLS!

The point that the average listener lacks the musical knowledge and appreciation to grasp what quality sound this is should be written on a billboard.

Nineteen is one of my favorite instrumental s . These guys are freaking awesome.

This band rocks out. Not into all instrumental but I am starting to change my view because of bands like these guyz. I'm a singer and can hear melody lines in their music that keeps me wanting to listen more. Awesome band and track 34 probably my favorite.

Awesome band, glorius music. Too bad the generic listener was too clownish to realize music doesn't need vocals.

They are from Morgantown WV! Started in 1993 out of the ashes of The Red Oak Conspiracy with Percussionis t Nathan Limbaugh and guitarist Will Mechum. Will met Bassist Rich Mullens in LA, Ca. while touring with Red Oak. They got their start in the rich music scene that existed in Morgantown WV in the 90s.

sounds good to me. To bad they didnt make it. Not corporate enough...... f * * k i n g sad state the recording industry is in when bands like Disturbed and Godsmack can sell millions and inspired deep music and bands like this go nowhere.

Just goes to show how musically infantile and silly and stupid most ppl are, other than me.

People want thier music supersized and in a friggin fast food drive thru.....

Their first album self titled Karma to Burn is one of their best!!! Dark , Deep and Heavy... I bought that album back in 1997 when I walked into a Warehouse records store and asked the clerk what was playing. That was it!!!! I had to order it and pick up in 2 weeks,it was well worth the wait!
