Formed in New York City in 2001 as an acoustic duo by Australian brothers Isaac and Thorry Koren, the Kin play a heady blend of '90s Brit-pop, soulful alternative rock, and radio-ready introspection which has earned the siblings a devoted following up and down the Eastern Seaboard. Raised in Adelaide in the cradle of a musically supportive household, the brothers studied jazz and vocal techniques from the age of ten, collaborating on their first song in their late teens. After relocating to the Big Apple, the pair began to search for other musicians to flesh out their epic songs, eventually settling on a rotating cast of drummers, keyboardists, and bassists. In 2004, the Kin released their debut album, Tracing, followed by Red and Black in 2005, Live at the P**sy Cat in 2006, and Rise and Fall in 2007. In 2011, the band signed with Interscope and began work on a follow-up to Rise and Fall. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi
"Jeff Buckley vocals and Porcupine Tree instrumentation. This means they're pretty good. :)"
....... no, it means they're totally derivative. Ripping off another artist is lazy, obvious, and what hacks and posers do when they don't have anything original or interesting to say.
Is it just me, or does the singer sound a lot like Jeff Buckley?

I love these guys! I can't wait to hear them live in NYC on September 27th. Look for their song, "Abraham," my favorite.
