With their line up consisting of Nagash (vocals/ bass), Blackheart (guitar), Astennu (guitar), Hellhammer (drums) and Sverd (keyboards), it seemed obvious that their parents blessed them with these names just for the sake of starting a goth/ metal act. Having gotten their start in 1992, Covenant made their way from playing clubs all through their home base of Norway to releasing their first album In Times Before the Light in 1997 (originally scheduled for 1995, but label problems got in the way). I love Nexus Polaris.Covenant (of Norway) was one of my favorite bands at the time and I bought Animatronic the day it came out.I was so disappointed to see them ditch the black metal influence, but I grew to like it.I highly recommend Nexus to anyone who is even remotely into symphonic black metal (Nagash & Astennu were in Dimmu Borgir in the 90s Hellhammer is from Mayhem)It sounds like it was written by space pirates!The original version of In Times... is really good, too if you can find it.
Nagash was in dimmu borgir for a while in the past and they changed there name from covenant to the kovenant after nexus polaris which was a badass album. To bad animatronic is not on here it was better than seti but is still good.
Seriously, the guy who wrote the bio on this band has absolutely no clue who they are or where they came from. If you're going to write a bio on a band, learn a little about them first. Pathetic.
yeah... that's really their names... nagash, blackheart, astennu, and hellhammer.. . you clown. STAGE NAMES. i suppose you think shagrath is really named shagrath... now go put your crash-helmet on and mind that 1st step into the short bus... it's a doozy!
